R LOC 150MG TABLET contains Ranitidine which belongs to the group of medicines called H2 receptor antagonists. It is used in the management of intestinal, benign and post-operative ulcers. Peptic or intestinal ulcers are open sores that develop on the inside lining of your stomach and the upper part of your small intestine, causing stomach pain.
R LOC 150MG TABLET is also used to manage reflux oesophagitis (inflammation of lower food pipe due to backflow of acidic stomach contents) and Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome (small tumour in the first part of your intestine due to excessive gastrin secretion).
Your doctor may occasionally perform tests to make sure R LOC 150MG TABLET is working and to manage side effects. Visit your doctor routinely for a check-up.
Avoid smoking during the management with R LOC 150MG TABLET, as it may delay healing or worsen the ulcers. Before taking R LOC 150MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you have stomach cancer, kidney, lung or immunity problems, porphyria (rare blood disorder) or diabetes.
R LOC 150MG TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnant or breastfeeding women unless your doctor finds it essential. For children, your doctor will determine a proper dose depending on your child’s age, body weight and disease condition. Contact your doctor if you experience any side effects or if any of the symptoms worsen.
