NOBEL contains Nimesulide, which belongs to the group of medicines called Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It is used to manage inflammatory conditions, including joint disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis, posttraumatic and postoperative painful conditions, and fever. NOBEL is also used to manage acute pain in orthopaedic, ENT, dental, and mild to moderate pain of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.
Your doctor might advise regular liver function tests during management with NOBEL.
NOBEL is usually advised as a second line of management for a short duration of time in order to relieve symptoms.
NOBEL is not recommended in cases of active stomach or duodenal ulcers, alcoholism, drug addiction, cerebrovascular bleeding or bleeding disorders, severe clotting disorders, severe heart, kidney, or liver impairment, fever and/or flu-like symptoms, a history of recurrent ulceration, or gastrointestinal bleeding.
NOBEL is not recommended during the third trimester of pregnancy and in breast-feeding women.
NOBEL is not given to children and adolescents below 12 years of age. It should be used with caution in elderly patients.
The most common side effects of taking NOBEL are vomiting, diarrhea or nausea, and changes in the level of liver enzymes. Consult your doctor if the above side effects do not improve.
