Introduction About CALPOL PAEDIATRIC DROPS

Calpol Paediatric Drops Peppermint Flavour is an analgesic and antipyretic medicine used to reduce fever and provide relief from mild to moderate pain in children. It contains Paracetamol as an active ingredient to effectively reduce fever and relieve pain.

Paracetamol acts as an antipyretic which works by inhibiting the production of a chemical called prostaglandins in the body, which are responsible for causing pain and swelling in the body. As a result, it reduces various pains. It also has a direct action on heat-regulating centres in the brain, leading to peripheral vasodilation, sweating, and loss of body temperature. Thus, it reduces fever.

Always give Calpol Paediatric Drops Peppermint Flavour as advised by your physician. Shake well before each use. Use the dropper provided with the package for correct dosing. The maximum daily dosage is 60 mg/kg, to be administered in divided doses of 10–15 mg/kg throughout the 24-hour period. Administering more than the daily dosage may cause serious liver damage or allergic reactions (such as swelling of the face, mouth, and throat, difficulty breathing, itching, or rash).
